With the recession continuing to impact on local
businesses morale can be seriously affected which further impacts on a
companies' ability to succeed in these difficult times. We propose that
we work with the Chamber to deliver a series of short, high impact
courses, MindSkills, that will provide the opportunity to motivate and
equip employees at any level. The courses will provide participants with
practical tools to assist in their personal effectiveness and the
effectiveness of the business as a whole.
The carefully designed
and tested courses only take 90 minutes using specialised training and
communication techniques so can be undertaken without taking key
staff away from the workplace for any significant time.

WHY 90 MINUTES - FASTER, CHEAPER AND BETTER
Firstly it would appear that most people's
attention span in Western cultures is around 90 mins between breaks -
it's the average length of a business meeting, soccer match, Hollywood
movie, etc. Further, you might sensibly ask how can anyone rapidly
improve their performance, learn a new skill or even change their
behaviour quite possibly at a deep level in only 90 minutes. You
certainly can and even more astonishingly for many 'core' personal
effectiveness competencies, traits and habits it can take less than that
especially in one-on-one coaching or training sessions. And for others
where the cognitive/linguistic/emotional structure is more complex it
obviously takes longer.
It can be shown that contrary to
mainstream opinion that learning and change can to be very fast. So why
would you need to attend a one, two or three day, or more training event
to 'learn' a new skill when you can actually make immediate and
measurable step-changes in behaviour in a fraction of that time, whilst
